Bendix ACom

I have a T680 with a Bendix radar/camera system in it.

I want to make some configuration changes to it--mainly disable to engine power cut when it THINKS I am going over the speed limit--for example when I drive 55 MPH by a sign that says SPEED LIMIT 45 WHEN FLASHING--the Bendix ignores the when flashing part. Or when I'm driving 70mph down the freeway and the access road has a SPEED LIMIT 35 on it.

It looks like the ACom software could be used to make these updates so I have these questions:

1) Is ACom the correct software to use?
2) How do I physically hook my computer to the Bendix system?
3) Is there a way to get an older version of ACom? It seems Bendix wants to charge $495 for it now...
